Burry Port Ladies 1st ever league game did not go as well as hoped, after a fine win against Abergavenny in a friendly match two weeks ago the Ladies came down to earth with a bang, coming up against a suspiciously good Blania team who had some real quality in their back division.
The young and inexperienced forwards for Burry Port more than held thier own against the home side but is was the home side backs that held the upper hand, almost scoring at will through thier expectional outside centre........
Even though the final score was not a pretty sight, the 'Blacks' must be congratulated on the spirit and 'never say die' attitude shown, to thier credit they fought to the end and would have gained valuable experience which will only help them develop as a team.
They must dust themselves off quickly as they face another tough battle on Sunday as they welcome Taffs Well to Burry Port Park 2.30 Kick Off.
