The young Blacks suffered another loss against a decent tycroes team in windy conditions at Burry Port Memorial Pak.
The home team played with the elements in the first half but in truth failed to use them to their advantage, to many mistakes again cost the home team at crucial moments and they let tycroes off the hook numerous times.
The away team had the heavier pack and with referee making it a very stop - start affair the advantage swayed to Tycroes. The scrum was a mess all game and again that only added to the frustration of all concerned.
When the teams did manage to put some rugby together it was Tycroes who got the 1st score through a powerful charge by the no.8, Burry Port missed an easy penalty kick but made amends with a long range effort at the stroke of half time to get on the score board.
Second half was much the same with Burry Port struggling with the elements and the more experienced half backs of Tycroes controlling the direction of the game.
The next score was an individual effort by the Tycroes wing with a chip and chase and a very good finish to strecth the lead, and with a successful penalty attempt soon after they lead 3 -13.
Burry Port needed the next scoe to get back in the game and in fairness there was no lack of effort but they just couldnt get their game together and continued to cough by the ball to many times, and with the clock running out Tycroes managed a break away try to make the score slighty harsh on the home side,
The team and coaches know they need to improve thier performances and need to work hard on the training field to put things right.
The only positives Burry Port can take out of the day is the performance of the four Youth boys on show, two of which made their Burry Port debuts, congratulations boys,
Next week there is another home fixture an dthe last game before christmas as we welcome Pontyberem to the Park 2:30 ko.
